I agree, I have always been a 7mm fan. I load for 4 different Tikka 7-08's and they all shoot excellent with the same exact load. Makes it super easy for me!
I have went down this road before since my wife is a lefty. She started out with a savage 7-08 and then upgraded to a Tikka 308 which we rebarreled to 7-08. Its a sweet setup. The savage hardly gets shot because the Tikka is so much smoother. Both are pretty accurate though.
How recent were these barrels made? I got one for one of my dads rifles before the changes and the threading didnt look good but it ended up shooting pretty decent. I've been thinking about getting another with this sale going on but not quite sure yet.
Murphy Precision picatinny rail for a Tikka. Stainless, 10 MOA with all hardware included. The front was machined down to clear shorter bodied scopes like the Nightforce 3-10 and Meopta 2-10.

I would also be in at around the $1000 price point so I could buy 2 or 3 to start. Call me crazy but I still prefer MOA but if it checked all those other boxes maybe it would motivate me to finally switch! I think that magnification range is absolutely perfect and as long as the reticle is...
I have done it like a few others on here by slicing it up and pan frying in a cast iron pan with peppers and onions. I have also made fajitas like this but sometimes it doesn't quite make it into the tortillas! A little salt, pepper and garlic its awesome!
I typically run an expanding mandrel through to make sure all the mouths are good then run them through a FL sizing die with the proper bushing to set neck tension then chamfer/deburr and load. Depending on length variations I’ll throw in a trim step to get them all the same. I have found even...
