I think the smartest way is cloud based. icloud/google drive, microsoft onedrive. Each of these platforms are relatively flexible in the event that you change device type (i.e. going from an iphone to a samsung) etc. The issue is cost. The added benefit of using these cloud based services is the...
I would imagine tent and upwind scenarios come out in the wash as part of the studies that assessed all bear conflicts in Alaska over the last however many decades. And to be honest, if a bear is coming in the tent in the dark, I think i trust the spray more than i trust trying to find the off...
Thats exactly the point. The majority of people in the bear woods do not have the skills to deal with that situation with a firearm. This while bear spray proves effective for all people (regardless of firearm skill). Secondly, the majority of firearm carrying people, likely over-estimate their...
If you simply don't have the space to keep the mount, then I would say modify to something that you would use, and enjoy. A euro mount would be a great option.
I'm of the mind that factor loads are of adequately quality and consistency for the majority of users. Handloading, for competition are precision shooting makes sense to me, weird caliber, and or, if you shoot a lot and want to lower the cost of your shooting.
For guys that shoot <30 rounds a...
MSR Hubba Hubba (2man). Light weight, and spacious enough for a a little comfort without adding a ton of weight. Packs small; weighs little and great in severe weather. The fly construction allows for you to keep you pack outside the tent but covered u see the fly. Easy to set up for one person...
Lottttta hype, not nearly enough clinical support to substantiate the hype or claims.
That said, I’ve seen nothing to suggest it’s harmful, so why not try it. If 10% of the hype is real, then you’re in the positive.
Studies show that a sidearm as bear deterrent typically results in more injuries to the person than when bear spray is deployed.
Bear spray still undoubtedly the #1 option to halt a bear attack.
I guess, with a sidearm… what are the odds you can hit a target the size of the bottom side of a...
In the absence of a traumatic knee injury (ie. you hurt it playing football) that would require a doctor, I would try two things: stretching and strengthening.
1) stretching, you can develop pain in the knee, at the kneecap, and below if you have tight quads. I would google some quad stretches...
I just use the edit in the apple photos app. It does an okay job for fixing some issues, but obviously isn't pro-level. It's good enough for what I need.
Nature Conservancy, Trout Unlimited are two others worth looking at. NC permits hunting on a lot of their lands, and if they don't you're still able to access most of them. Trout Unlimited does a lot of restoration work to benefit native fisheries.
I would have a look at tent trailers. You can find them used for very cheap, they're super light to tow and really handy. One thign we liked about them, is you could raise the tent about 1ft while loading and you could slide a bunch of your gear into the trailer (including coolers) and then drop...
I did a ton of research on this when i was shopping. Both vehicles are pretty comparable in terms of quality, capability, fuel economy. You cannot beat the aftermarket world for tacoma. There are youtube videos for every mod you can think of for tacoma. BUT. you pay for it. When i researched...
I use the Outdoor Edge Swing Blade. Razor sharp, super affordable. Will you need to maintain it more frequently than a $300 blade? probably. But blade sharpens REALLY well, holds an edge well, and the flip feature is super handy. The plastic is grippy, the whole unit is easy to clean. Blade size...
