Man, that pitch was hard to listen to. Pipe down on the testosterone buddy. Name drop left, name drop right. All to go shoot elk behind a fence.
I'm all about supporting all of our veterans. But, that one was annoying.
The Good ole days for me are right now.
I didn't experience N. Yellowstone Elk.
I didn't experience Central Oregon Deer.
I didn't experience Kaibab Plateau Deer.
And I didn't experience the bison.
I didnt experience AK sheep in the 80s.
I can tell you I've shot more geese than my dad ever...
Not on the list but hunting solo I think I would be more successful.
Less bullshit to wade through with scheduling a hunt with someone, hunting tactics might greatly differ, so does having different expectations on a hunt. Those have all soured it for me in the past.
I think the optimum bear rifle is an AR10 platform in a pick your flavor 308/338Fed/358win
Or AR15 with a 458 SOCOM something along those lines.
With a quick to acquire red dot and multiple rounds that don't require manipulating the action.
Maybe they’re able to make recessed cuts to lighten and/or create a picitanny style rail on the top? Not sure if there is enough meat for that.
Or removing a bunch of material off of the top middle section leaving enough on either side of the ejection port for scope ring adjustment?
