I kept my old Athens around. Didnt shoot it for 2-3 years. Then I started going back to my childhood hunting grounds during rut. So now I have a bow up there and a bow down here. Both shoot great and are capable.
Twist up cables and untwist string..... but not too much. Its going to be hard to get to 90 peak. maybe custom strings/cables? But then the rest of the bow needs to be able to handle it. Good luck, be safe!!
39/70#
Not very strong anymore...... but been shooting since I was a kids, so pulling a bow is my useless superpower :)
Bows are pretty darn fast these days. Plus with FPS limits on competition..... no need to test some of thee 80# limbs out there. Maybe if I was open country elk hunting or...
This event makes me sad and mad. Taking an animals life is a HUGE responsibility..... to just throw some lead at something that is moving is totally out of line. Sad that someone had to pay the price.
East coast (cocoa area):
Bass fishing anywhere on the ST Johns river
Check rocket launch schedule
Airboat ride
Beach (gonna be a bit coolish)
Gator hunting if you got $$ to charter
Ive also pushed myself to the backside of some remote WMA's in Florida just to find a bunch of bubbas partying in their airboats....... I need an airboat :)
Its that time of year.... "new year, new me". Ive lost ~10 lbs since the turn of the calendar by not drinking. It would be more lbs, but Ive had a gnarly sciatic flare up that has me in bed most days.
