My system seems to expand every year. It's a system of totes and bins like every one else. But I can never seem to keep it as organized as I like though. Once I get it working I get more gear and makes for more/different sized totes. It feels like neverending chaos and my wife makes fun of me...
I also use and like meriwool although agree it's not cheap compared to other materials. I get merino wool socks from Costco that are good enough, not great though. Also agree with 32 degrees on the puffy outer layer. Got a puffy jacket from them for me and my son and they are pretty nice, I...
Seeing all these pics and stories is great. Still don't have great ice around me, a lot of open water still. Hope to be able to get out this weekend with the temps finally getting and staying cold for a bit.
I keep some in my kill kit mainly to try and keep a little cleaner and it help to hold my knife also. The knife I use can get a little slick with all the blood. Just helps a bit.

I use individual bags filled with sand (~10#) and put them in a large trash bag, sometimes on the load shelf and sometimes in the pack. Just depends on the day to change the load up a bit. I'll usually stuff something light in the bottom of the bag to keep the weight high.
I take some supplements as others have mentioned but BW knees over toes exercises along with proper stretching and some yoga makes a world of difference. I lift decently heavy on back squats, lunges, etc and if I don't do a dynamic prep with knee of toes exercises before getting into some of...
Yep, I do it for a couple 4sec-1min warmup sessions usually 3 times a week. I have a torn labrum from years of baseball/softball and if I stop for several weeks, I start feeling the issue in my shoulder again.
I was wondering the same. If you strapped sticks to the outside, was it easy to keep them strapped tight to keep from shifting with a lightly loaded pack?
