Curious about this as I’ve started reloading and working up loads. My question is, how do round manufacturers come up with the various rounds they market? Just test on a few different guns and see which ones work the best out of all of them? I’m talking about powder/bullet combos and amounts of...
Started using it. I find that so far, it throws pretty accurate. They do very a little, but so far so good. I’m happy with it.

Filled it out, only takes a minute or two to at least try. And costs nothing. I agree with all those who said it probably won’t help, but I also agree we have to at least attempt. And it’s pretty painless to try. I’ve only been to Colorado once to hunt, but I’d like to go again someday. It just...
From all my research, the solid coppers work well as long as the speed is up. I am currently loading some 168gr Barnes gttsx in 30-06 but don’t expect it to be a long distance round. But I don’t shoot past 300 anyway. My thought is it’s a perfectly good elk round. I’m no expert, but I plan on...

First ever trip to Colorado with the son in laws. They bought otc bull tags, I decided to try and draw a cow tag. So glad I did! What an incredible experience! Next time, I’ll chase the rack! South west Colorado. Beautiful country!
Well done! Skipping out west this year to build another point or two, plan on being out there somewhere chasing elk in 2024! Have to stick to Midwest white tails in 2023, but I love that too so it’s not a problem!
