I do database marketing and there is no way this is not happening already. You could run the query, get the information you need and nobody in your company would even know unless someones looking over your shoulder.
Whats the recommendation on how to use Diamox? Some folks say just take it pre-emptively and some when they experience symptoms. But if I have sympotms shouldnt I be getting down the mountain anyway? Just curious your opinion.
Sounds good. Fitness level will be decent. I have the time I have and can't really add a bunch of acclimation days so I'll take as much as I can from here and move forward with caution.
Understood. I probably should have worded it better but the goal is just to not get sick or worse... I haven't really had any trouble at altitude in the past but that wasn't putting in this much exertion. Just trying to stay safe and be hunting albeit at a lesser clip.
I've been up there this summer scouting. But only did very limited hiking for one day. Did not have problems but hopefully with more days up there I will be able to hike harder.
Makes sense. That's kind of the issue, the whole unite is basically at 10k. I would have to drive down off the mountain all the way to 6k to sleep then drive back up in the morning and then hike in, burning a lot of time. But perhaps thats the safest route.
My plan is to drive to CO from MO, to Silverthorne where I'll stay the rest of the day, then up to camp at 10k the next morning. There I'll just be driving around and glassing a bit. Is that whole next day enough time to acclimate and be ready to hunt hard the following(opening) day?
I've got a tag for 2nd rifle in CO. I have scouted this summer and many hours of e-scouting. The unit seems pretty difficult to hunt based on other posts. The terrain seems like it's going to funnel every hunter into the same couple areas. Is there such a thing as a service to review my hunt...
Are you hunting out west this fall? If yes you are running short on time to get to where you want to be comfortably. I'm really not trying to be a jerk. Just the realities of getting into mountain shape in two or three months takes some dedication. All you mentioned looks good. Building muscle...
Hey quick question. When it took the 20-30 minutes, was that the first time you powered it up in a new location? I've heard(and confirmed with tests) once you get somewhere new it can take a while to get a connection. Or are you saying any back and forths between inreach devices takes 20-30 mins...
FNG here. I'm heading to Colorado from flat land. How do you guys confirm zero once in your unit without disturbing game? I'm going from 900ft to 10,000 feet. And the entire unit is up at 10k. I'll be arriving one day before the season starts. The unit really only has one access point and it...
