I like both equally. Hunted a few Cape buffalo with both calibers.
-416 Rigby has a mercury recoil rod and a muzzle beak on it so the recoil is at a 300 WM level. Pleasure to shoot.
404 Jeff just has so much historical value and more of a cult following.
Listing the 416 Rigby for sale soon.
Hi all.
Going to Africa soon and thought I’d take a crossbow with. Don’t really want to spend all that money to get a hard case since I’ll be leaving the bow there.
Does anyone know if it’s legal to just put the crossbow in one of my hard shell check in luggage?
Thanks for the help.
Thank you! It is a very pretty rifle.
Sorry about not being more specific.
I’m looking for a scope to put on my Dakota 76 in 375 H&H. Typically shoot 20-450 yards so anything in the 1-15 magnification range. Could maybe do some Bino’s also.

Have a beautiful Dumoulin Mauser in 6mm Rem. Has a very nice wood stock and shoots like a dream. Comes with a Minox VZ3 4.5-14x44 scope. Have some ammo to go with it.
Looking to sell for $1500 or trade for a nice scope. PM me with trades. Thanks!
I have brand new 416 Dakota brass still factory sealed from Dakota. Was going to change them to 375 Dakota but figured they are so rare I should just see if anyone out there needs some.
Get the Ruger African in 300 or 338 WM. They usually come with a beautiful stock and express sights for tight timber or brush. That is what I would buy if I could only have one.
I would go for a 243 or a 308. Recoil is easy and ammo will always be available. Those little ruger Americans would be a nice entry level rifle for anyone.
