I juice and include the beets and the greens and notice a difference when I miss several days of juicing on vacation or something. I’m a believer in beets.
For cold days I have a pair of wool dress pants I think I got second hand 30 years ago For warmer weather and rougher underbrush I have a pair of Duluth fire hose pants. For briars and cactus I wear Filson tin cloth chaps.
No coyotes for me I’d rather eat my leather shoes. Had a guy we hunted coyotes with make crow jerky once and it was *^% nasty. He didn’t tell us what it was until after we took a bite. Everyone was passing around deer jerky that day so we assumed. I always ask now.

Has a dodge with big tires and I got a couple sets of semi chains cheap off Craigslist and cut them down to fit my oversized tires. They did not fit my newer Chevy Silverado as they don’t have much clearance especially up front had to go to cable chains there.

I found bicycling to keep things stretched and keep my egabstrong. That alone has helped me from twisting my knees and over extending them. On years I didn’t do this I can tell you I really felt my knees showing their age.
Train as much as you can with a pack of the same weight you plan to hunt with. Elevation will be the but kicker and the type of terrain. I’ve camped at a lot of elevations from 2000 feet to 8000 feet. Hiked 8-10 miles a day and that kicked my but at the higher elevations with steep climbs.
