I posted a thread recently about inaccuracies with 4dof… I gathered two things from the responses.
1) There are roksliders who are compelled to explain profusely that it is user error.
2) 4dof is unreliable and I no longer use it.
Don’t forget to at least look at initial ascent… I snagged one this last year and am tremendously happy with it…. They also have some “BF” discounts through tomorrow
It wont get you the adjustable cheek weld but the Stocky's VG2 is an amazing stock for the money. Going adjustable will add cost and usually half a pound or more to the stock. Stocky's had a pretty good sale going right now too. The 307 alpine ct comes wearing a Peak44 Bastion stock which is...
BSF is also the provider for the Springfield Waypoint barrel I believe. I went ahead and ordered one of these in 7prc and will update here once I get it in hand.
Dunno that it qualifies as “cheap” but these are legit. Weighs less than an ounce more than my stone glacier Grumman but has pit zips, welded baffle construction, and is about half the price of the Grumman or the Kuiu pro. I got mine for $172 a couple of months ago and used it for 2nd rifle in...
The new-ish Weatherby 307 Alpine CT intrigues me. It appears to be a pretty solid selection of components for the street price but I haven’t found any “real-world” reviews.
Any Roksliders putting one through the paces yet??

This was a...
Never seen that response about 6.5 PRC… even Academy carries it and a quick search on ammoseek will yield hundreds of sites carrying dozens of options with some under $30 a box.
Agreed… the only way anyone would want to buy one is with the knowledge that it is a roll of the dice… they did a great job making mine right but it should have been right out of the box. Seems it would be cheaper for them to test group each rifle before it goes out than repair as many of these...
The 6.5 PRC is the best choice for a non reloader especially. Selection and availability is great and the ballistics are excellent. I’ve just found it to be a very shootable round with great terminal performance.
Call Doug! You won’t regret it… he and his team will be a tremendous help in answering questions and won’t try to just “sell you” on something you don’t want or need.
If you are new to quality binos, you are going to experience more hand shake in the 12x (as well as more weight) thank you are...
