Follow up here just to give a plus for Nemo customer service. Sent my damaged pad back to them under warranty, and they replaced with a new one.

Bishop Pass 0 vs Rab Ascent 900

I have the bishop pass zero in long. I haven't been able to use it yet because I'd cook in it in temps above 25. I feel like it'd be warm down to single digits. Bag quality is excellent on MH bags IMO. I have experience with bags from Sierra Designs, Big Agnes, Marmot, and Kelty for...

    Nemo Tensor All-Season Ultralight

So here's my take on the Tensor Ultralight Insulated (long-wide). For frame of reference I have previously used Exped, Big Agnes, and foam Ridgerests. The Good: The Nemo is super-lightweight which is awesome. To me it seems to pack down a little easier and tighter than the Big Agnes of...

    Nemo Tensor All-Season Ultralight

I actually have the old version, the Tensor Ultralight Insulated with a 4.2 R-value. I see now that they have 3 different types of Tensor pads, so this isn't the exact pad you're looking at.

    Wiser Quick Stix Tripod

If you are considering a system like this, take a look at the Wiser Sparrow. It keeps the mount centered on the binos instead of supported on just one side (like the Aziak clamp). It also doesn't require a stud. Sorry, this is a little off topic from the op.

Also gonna try the Sparrow this year. Looks handydandy.

    Wiser Quick Stix Tripod

I'd second this. My hunting buddy has this setup that I have used, and even in light wind, it is pretty shaky. I do plan to get the Quickstix this year for shooting, though. They're nifty.

+1 for the Renegades. I am a fan of my Renegade lows.

    Your gear upgrades/changes/additions for 2024

I ended my fruitless efforts trying to create a good hunting pack out of non/not good hunting packs. My Osprey Zenith and my Cabela's frame pack will now sit at home during hunting season. I dropped the coin for an SG Col 4800. I already know my hips and back are going to thank me.

Extra wide sleeping bag… am I crazy?

I would agree here and think you'd get really uncomfy cold spots in a bag that wide.
