Your first deer rifle?

Papaw got me a savage .243 from Walmart. Gun has always shot straight and taken many animals. He’s since passed on and it’s a gun I’ll never part with, plan to pass it down to my son.

Broadhead effect on blood trail - exodus vs grim reaper experience

Shot my buck this year with an exodus on a 4mm arrow, complete pass thru and the arrow was buried probably 6 inches in the dirt. He didn’t go 60-70 yards and he piled up. There was very little to no blood up until I got pretty close to where he died. Either way I was impressed and I’ll...

Best option for climbing

Sticks with aiders for sure, a lot more versatile and don’t limit you to certain trees. I use two cut down hawks with 3 step aiders, light and gets me plenty high enough.
