Weatherby is circling the toilet bowl

I own a Fibermark Mark V, its nice, shoots well, would not sell it. Highly disappointed with Weatherbys marketing trajectory, highly inflated ammo prices, and recent pandering to the TV crowd. I was given the one I have, I wont be buying one even though there are now made in my homestate.

    Weatherby has forsaken it 270

I stand corrected at the scant $107 a box the 130g ttsx is available again. I apologize but out of stock for about 3 years was silly. Ive since bought a 300win mag, learned my lesson.

How is the Maven RS.1 holding up?

I have a couple RS1 scopes that have met my expectations for hunting rigs. Would buy another or just another Maven maybe one with more zoom for a heavier target rifle application.

I have faith capitalism will prevail. As for the 270wtby Im not convinced but maybe it is truly just a brass shortage.

The 30-06 is neither trendy or high performance... would be suitable for most game, never hard to find ammo for I have one but haven't taken it to the field in years.

If nobody is buying... the free market should shutter the company doors. Yea my daily driver is a Toyota truck but I do have a special place in my heart for the GM big block.

Agreed But lets take this out of context If Chevy started manufacturing alternators for Toyota trucks while Chevy branded alternators were unavailable... this is how it feels to me. I also only buy an alternator once a decade.

How many years are "in between runs"? I guess why I'm annoyed is they have sought to pursue ammo/brass for Nosler/PRC before taking care of there proprietary cartilages.

Actions speak louder than words. IMO.

I really appreciate that but honestly I just need to slice out some time and reload my brass. That's probably the take away message for me.

I see that side of it for sure. Probably a good business move from their side. The 270wtby round is probably bested by some of these newer cartridges

Weatherby is circling the toilet bowl

Weatherby is killing its own classics! I love my 270wtby but even Weatherby is no longer regularly producing ammo for it.

    Hmm... something is very wrong.

What the hell. Weather is now producing and stocking PRC and Nosler ammo. They really need to stock of there proprietary stuff before dabbling as a ammo dealer... something seems amiss up there in Sheridan. Edit link corrected: https://weatherby.com/store/6-5-prc/ And its somehow cheaper...

I too have another 4 or 5 boxes of 130gr ttsx factory ammo left. I wonder what they'd sell .for these days they were ~$90 new a few years back. I prefer the heavier 150gr.

    Weatherby has forsaken it 270

I have been watching the ability of the 270wtby mag ammo for several years. I think it might be a dead cartridge. Nobody but Weatherby produces 270wtby ammo but Weatherby. Nosler did for a minute but that has clearly passed. If Weatherby will not produce ammo the caliber its existence will...

Getting blood off of a backpack?

The hydrogen peroxide trick suggested worked really well. We have 12% hydrogen peroxide at work which was amazing. Then filled a trash can with water for a complete cold rinse
