    we use the alps mountaineering tent and have been real happy with it. I know its not the lightest, but if you split it between ya or have the other carry some extra water its not too bad. We usually camp for 3 days, so once you get to camp, your day pack is pretty light.

    Meat Care in Grizzly Country

    I would go higher than ten feet. We run an elk ranch and hang the lowest part at 12 feet. we have watched a grizzly stand up and pull the hind quarters down. If it was me I would hang it a few hundred yards from where I was sleeping and put the electric fence around camp.

    Denatured Alcohol will do the same thing. you apply is on the hair side. Make sure you apply it around the eyes and tear duct and on any blood, also apply it on the back of the ears.
