Buy a couple old Jac shirts, a single or double mackinaw and some tin pants- all used and made in USA and I think you can call it good for Filson gear. Beat the shit out of it and use it like it’s supposed to be. Good stuff that has been going 15+ strong for me.

agree with above- also had great luck with Barnes 208 LRX
Personally have loads of both the Berger 215 and Barnes 208's both with H1000 in my 1:8 twist 300WM
no prob- looks like this seller raised his price 50$ but still a good deal. If it's a fat bike, most likely you will need the 120mm version. I built a Surly Puglsy that I used a 100mm on. most regular narrow tire bikes use the 68mm. If in doubt just measure or look up your BB diameter. I have...
This really depends on who manages the local forest service. I am not gonna go down the rabbit hole though as it seems no one actually knows the complete rules.
All that being said. I would highly reccomend the bafang bbshd home conversion to anyone thinking of getting a serious bike. It’s...

Ha, I was wondering if you would call me on that. Since you were up there- if you recall- we had very hot and dry conditions the entire season- with the exception of Thursday. Thursday it started snowing hard early am and was done by about 1 pm. It snowed about 3-4" in total which was almost...
Just got back from 3rd season. Especially quiet one, been hunting it for last decade and never seen it so barren. It’s a migration corridor and it was super hot and dry. Anyway, came across this print- need some help identifying. Track is about 3 1/2 inches wide, claw marks clearly evident...
Just went through a similar dilemma. You are correct in that carbon is tough to work with on a bafang mid drive- though that would be a great bike (I almost converted my stumpy to)!! What I ended up doing is picking up a used Surly Pugsley (always wanted one anyway). It had good...
For 99% of my Western hunting, a small spotter isn’t going to do anything my stabilized 12x binos can’t. Unless I was realistically going to draw a sheep or goat tag- I leave the spotter at home. I would honestly suggest spending 2k elsewhere.

Got 35k out of my Toyo MT 40’s on a 8k lb 3500. Mix of driving 1/3 off pavement, 1/3 city, 1/3 hwy. impressed and will be replacing with same.

If everyone in the country ate prion infected ungulate nervous tissue- then it would probably occur (crossover) over time. Luckily the % population that consumes even non-nervous tissue ungulate meat is relatively low. I would be very surprised if crossover occurred in my lifetime (which is prob...
