I have one of each - the French (liver color) is a crack head, but in an awesome way. The American is the sweetest dog ever. Both are great/lazy in the house, but unstoppable when you step outside - just like some others have mentioned.
Yep, as noted, unlimited tags are not subject to the 8/1 deadline. Pages 7 & 110 of the regs call it out.

Ram truck customer care: My 2018 Cummins was leaking oil (main seal) and I'm out of warranty. Got a quote at the dealer for $3700. Long story short, the dealer repaired it and Ram covered it. Cost me $0. I was shocked.
Always in my thigh pocket - easy access and I don't notice it. I'd hate to have to dig it out of my pack if I'm busted up, or if my pack's not near me.
I have a PA7, a kowa 773, and an A6400. I could never get the setup to work well, so I use my phone and phoneskope. My problem was that my images were too dark no matter what I tried. There was no way to get enough light to the sensor, which I wasn't expecting.
Probably worth trying one more...
I was looking for a low, breathable gaiter without Velcro, so I got the renagaiter. So far, so good. I'm a size 9 boot and the medium fit perfectly over my salmon quest 4s.
I probably never really answered the OP. Moved to Mountain Home in '96 (Air Force) from PA. No way I was going back there, even though I loved growing up on the east coast. Stayed in the Boise area and it's been fantastic. There are some trade-offs with growth, but I'm not going anywhere.
