Colorado Sells More Nonresident Elk Tags than all Seven Western States Combined

I was thinking the same about NM, but I guess NR's are buying the LO tags up. https://www.outdoorlife.com/conservation/new-mexico-elk-licenses-favor-nonresident-hunters/

Epic 2023 New Mexico Hunting Trip!

And for those wondering, the deer and elk were both shot with a 300 gr Thor using 90gr by weight of blackhorn 209. Both bullets were through the lungs slightly quartering to me and both bullets were found bulging on the opposite hide. The deer dropped and the elk went 75 yards. My buddy’s elk...

Epic 2023 New Mexico Hunting Trip!

12,000 steps later I had camp set up. I brought my 16x20 wall tent as a camping and cook tent combo since there’s only of 2 of us this year. The canyon behind camp backs up to an Indian reservation and another unit so we had to be careful, but bulls were bugling EVERYWHERE. Getting there...

Epic 2023 New Mexico Hunting Trip!

OK it’s novel time.. All DIY public land. I'm sure some of you will recognize where I was, so please keep it quiet. I drew both mule deer and elk muzzleloader tags for NM this year, my first year entering the tag lottery. Luckily my 2nd and 3rd choices that were drawn were both muzzleloader tags...

NEIGHBOR'S HOUSE GETTING BROKEN INTO. WHAT DO YOU DO?

This is what I was thinking. Call the neighbor, call the cops, then a couple subsonic suppressed 300bo bullets into their tires and wait for the show to begin!

WTB Peep Sight for CVA Muzzleloader

If you put a rail on you could use one of these and be able to qd swap with a scope. https://www.newenglandcustomgun.com/proddetail.php?prod=4200 I guess that doesn't help you with a front globe though..

Thoughts on the new Tricer AD tripod?

Anybody else been using the AD? Wondering how it's holding up and if the LP head is sturdy enough for a heavy Razor spotter. Bino adapter worthwhile? If there's a better lightweight setup for similar price or cheaper please let me know! Something that can be used standing. Last year they did a...

It's been difficult as I browse through the 50,000+ messages and emails I've received in the last week. The stories that have been shared paint a brutally honest picture. Suicide, addiction, unemployment, anxiety and depression, hopelessness and the list goes on. Im sitting in such a weird...

    Vomiting at altitude

Zofran is some pretty badass stuff, I'd assume it will work at altitude also? Hit up his doctor ahead of time.

Factory ammo. Hornady ELD X. HORRIBLE accuracy.

That exact ammo shoots moa out of a bergara wilderness ridge and wilderness hmr. It's a couple years old though.

Interesting. I thought "rich men" north of "richmond" was creative and great songwriting. Unless it's a term that was already used that I wasn't aware of.

    Custom Home - Must Haves?

I know 2 people that have them that have caused a TON of damage by leaking. I'll stick to filling my pots in the sink after their nightmares. My dream home will have a urinal somewhere in it!

Long Term Care Insurance - Anyone Have Experience With Having Care Paid For?

It's very unlikely that a policy would max out at premiums paid in. I've never seen anything like that. I don't even see the state insurance department approving a policy like that to be sold. It's usually very much the opposite. If you use it for more than a handful of months you're usually...

Long Term Care Insurance - Anyone Have Experience With Having Care Paid For?

That's just simply not correct. You must be getting mixed up with people trying to get their stay covered by Medicare(original Medicare or Medicare Advantage Plan) or Medicaid. Different rules and likely room rates for that situation. LTC facilities LOVE it when people have private standalone...

Best app or website to create a MOA drop chart

Same^^. I use verified AB app trajectory numbers, 90 degree angle 10mph wind numbers, add to small excel sheet as I want it, and adjust for actual wind accordingly in the field. And make sure your tape or whatever you use holds to your stock well before leaving home and take spare dope cards.

Long Term Care Insurance - Anyone Have Experience With Having Care Paid For?

I'm curious as to why these policies never paid out? It's not that difficult to get them to pay out, as long as the elimination(waiting) period has been satisfied, and a doctor confirms they can't perform 2 of the 6 activities of daily living. LTC policies have obviously paid out a lot...
