    We learned a lot.... saw a nice herd of elk at the gate of RMNP - We did not see a single elk in 18. Hunted hard for 4 days - lows were 0 degrees highs were 32 (some days). It was brutal.

    Yup… and if you went in the middle of the burn it was muchhhhhh worse scorched earth. We rode the OHV trails and there were large areas of no life or grass

    Anyone have any information on GMU 18 in regards to recovery? I have done a lot of research on the watershed recovery efforts and it looks as if there is a ton of lush grass and wild flowers all over the scorched earth area of 18. Curious if any locals are hearing if the Elk are venturing out...
