Re-crowned the M1917

Trying different load combos but couldn’t find much better accuracy so crown work on the M1917. Shot 3 groups 180’s RN Sierra with IMR 4350 55 grains and 150 RN Sierra with surplus 4831 60 grains and much improved groups. 150’s in the black marker square. Just 25 yards. Used to shoot 1 1/2” at 25.

8mm/338 PMM

Started forming cases from 7mag brass top pic but neck didn’t fully form so fire forming will need to be done if the case will chamber but plenty of 7 mag cases untouched. the 338 mag case on the bottom necked down very nicely but neck might be tight but they old friend I bought the rifle from...

Oldest rifle you still use?

Deer season starts Saturday here and the M1917 gets the nod for opener. $100 rifle Eddystone bought few years back. $50 Bushnell scope $55 Timney trigger goodwill belt for a sling 😂 1918 barrel shoots well enough with hand loaded 180 Sierra pro hunter RN

Timber Wolf at my house spring of 2021
