Wild that the approval time was quicker than shipping on the barrel I ordered, the day before my can was certified.
My father had a can certified a month and a half before I did. We had them approved on the same day, 4 1/2 months wait for him and 3 month wait for mine. They sure as heck aren't processed from "oldest to most recent."
Ideally, it's not the shot I'd be looking for, but I've done it and had similar results. In my case the deer was uphill from me traveling towards me and it crashed within eyesight. I was trying to mark a rub on my phone and noticed a group of doe coming towards me, it happened quick. Honestly, I...
I just use a regular Max-5 camo life jacket that I picked up several years ago from Bass Pro for duck hunting. It works great and I don't find it to be to bulky. I have an Onyx auto inflate that I use bass fishing in spring and summer. I really like it, but just stick with the normal one come...
Did you call your Game and Fish department, and see about getting your tag back? My dad killed a buck two years ago that had been shot high shoulder two weeks prior. He didn't notice anything wrong when he shot but when we found it the exit wound of the earlier shot was the size of your fist and...
I have shot Federal Prarie Storm 2 3/4 #5 out of a 12ga for many years, this year I bought a case of Kent Fastlead 2 3/4 #5 and really enjoyed it plus its a few bucks cheaper a box. My best advice would be to get your hands on several boxes of high brass upland ammo, and shoot until your guns...
Not sure where you're located, I'm from eastern AR and have hunted snows quite a bit. I've only done it in rice or bean fields, but we pretty much have to use spreads of 500+ fullbodies/socks to get any action. Seems like it'd be a tough go of transporting decoys by boat if that's the case.
I purchased mine around two years ago and have probably shot around 5 cases through it between shooting clays and all sorts of bird hunting. It's been great so far, I make sure to keep it clean and have had zero issues with it. You should really enjoy it, for the price its hard to beat.
I would put turkey hunting in the category of an active hunt, and less of a sitting in a blind type of hunting. Quail and Grouse are a blast to hunt, especially with a good group of guys and some good dogs. I grew up waterfowl hunting and am partial to it. I'd suggest, as other have, to get a...
