Would you mind showing a cple more pics of your full build if you get a chance. I’m starting a build myself and want a 20” 6.5 prc. Only thing holding me up is picking the barrel contour. Thx!
I have bought 2 Christensen carbon barrels this way. I believe the cleaning was a culprit in both situations since my original.308 barrel needs regular cleaning. It can be annoying but all three barrels shoot effortlessly with regular cleaning intervals. I’m not far from trying out one of these...
I have a ridgeline in .308 win that’s the exact same way. 50 or so rounds and it’s like someone hit a switch and the groups open up. Clean it and it’s a lazor again. I keep hoping it’ll break in and the cleaning regimen will lengthen. Probably 500+ rounds on it now and it hasn’t changed? I...

I’m surprised there aren’t more 175-180 gr loads on here? That class of bullet has really done well in the wind for me. Seems to retain good speed and energy out to about 600 for a do all hunting load as well. My go to has been Lapua brass, cci br2’s, 43.3 gr of Varget over 178 Eldm’s. Shooting...
This is interesting. I’ve only really shot Hornady 178’s out of the Christensen. Last time the barrel fouled I was testing 172 Speer impacts side by side with the Hornady. The steers were easily staying 3/4 “ groups and the Hornady went south quick. After cleaning they were pretty much the same...
I’ve got a Christensen Ridgeline in .308 win that seams to open up overnight without regular cleaning. It’s a laser when it’s clean. I can’t explain it either but after about 50 rounds it’s like someone flipped a switch and the flyers start coming. Gets worse as the barrel warms up. After...
