Wtb: cimmaron Tipi or like sized tent

Wtb: cimmaron Tipi or like sized tipi I am looking for a Cimarron Tipi or like sized tipi shelter. They are selling these for $369 new on the seek outside site. If anyone has a gently used one with stove jack I would be open to purchasing it so you can buy the upgraded redcliff;) Located in...

    Min. knives for elk?

Outdoor edge razor lite for me. Razor sharp, no broken blades, no multitool needed to change the blades. I used to use a Havalon and still do when cleaning up meat back in the garage. To each their own. Havalon definitely was a first mover and marketed very well to our demographic.

    Hunting/Skinning knife appreciation thread

My appreciation for this knife is only 1 month old but the it sure did the trick this year. I was running the Havalon for a couple years and it worked pretty good as an ultralight knife. This year I made the switch over to the outdoor edge razor lite and was very impressed. It was as sharp as...

    Staying warm when not moving?

I would suggest using just minimal layers getting in. The most important thing is to change out of the layer you hike in with and get into a clean dry top. Then stack on the layers of insulation. I use two layers of wool, a layer of down, then a layer of rain gear to break the wind and keep...

    Trecking Poles Yes or no?

I am big fan of black diamond z poles. Lightweight and stow easily in your pack. They are well worth the investment. I never leave home without them. They go in the pack when I am hunting.

An Interview With Kurt Racicot, Founder of Stone Glacier Packs

I echo the statements above. Kurt, you set a standard that is hard to live up to by any manufacturer. You make a great product but above all your customer service and humbleness is second to none. Looking forward to getting my Sky 5100 bloody this season. Great Company, Great Product, Great CEO.

Modified Talley LW's for Tikka T3's

16Bore, It can be done. I did it to mine with a buddy who owns a milling machine. I wasn't very accurate to 20 MOA, ended up being 23-24 MOA. Works great though.

Modified Talley LW's for Tikka T3's

Interesting concept. You should mill the bases 20 moa. I would see that as more functional than what you have been doing.

    Another Kuiu Pack????

I got the email notice of ANOTHER KUIU pack. The ICON PRO 7200 I believe is what the video said. Pretty darn confusing if you ask me. They call it an ICON pack like their previous line of packs that had all the issues with broken frames but it goes on the ULTRA frame. I don't think they...

    Havalon knives

Anyone tried the new Outdoor edge Razor? Seems like the same concept but better protection from blades breaking.
