Similar boat. Spent a lot of time in that unit and never saw a bear. Just sign and reports from people in the area.
Might try to bag some ducks if it’s not frozen over. Seems like pretty little snow on the ground in the southern part of the unit which is why I thought I’d give it a shot for bear.
Got a few days to hit the mountains over Xmas and was hoping to catch up with a bear while I’m up there.
No clue what they’re doing this time of year since it’s a late winter to say the least. Heavy snow is starting to come in over the last few weeks. I have a target area that I’ve hunted deer...
These are extra I had but can’t return. They are practically brand new. No wear and tear or signs of use at all.
They went on one glassing session then they came off.
Xpac Medium $40 each or $70 for the pair, shipped.
Orange in the screenshot is not for sale.
Mine is 6.5 PRC and is pretty accurate. I did have a few issues with customer service but seems to have all been resolved. I recommend you disassemble, clean and torque spec everything. Mine almost fell apart at the range after a few trips. It’s great to fit in the meat shelf when folded to hike...
Made the switch to kifaru ARK frame and hellbeder this year after a years of exclusively mystery ranch.
Everything is good so far. Had one of the compression straps come unstitched after 2-3 trips but they sent me a new one quickly.
Main thing I seem to be scratching my head on is the belt...
Definitely not shopping at rei for this one. I don’t have experience with a trekking pole tent but I am open to it I suppose. But I was glancing at the zpacks and hyperlight options and they look great for the weight savings.
I’m looking for a framed tent anywhere around or under 3lb packed weight. Price range is pretty much going to be based on reviews and quality. Buy once cry once if you will.
I’m ready to upgrade my tent setup. Anyone got any good suggestions? Was looking at Nemo and MSR. Open to suggestions. Going for quality seeing as my current cheapo option has always leaked on me every time I’ve used it…in socal. Where it never rains…except when I am miles from the truck 🤦🏻♂️
