    Similar boat. Spent a lot of time in that unit and never saw a bear. Just sign and reports from people in the area. Might try to bag some ducks if it’s not frozen over. Seems like pretty little snow on the ground in the southern part of the unit which is why I thought I’d give it a shot for bear.

    I’ve got one. It had to go back to benelli for issues with the mag tube getting jammed when loading shells. They fixed it but runs flawless.

    Definitely not shopping at rei for this one. I don’t have experience with a trekking pole tent but I am open to it I suppose. But I was glancing at the zpacks and hyperlight options and they look great for the weight savings.
