Headed to AZ next week for late rifle and I’m really not sure what I need insulation wise… this is my first late season trip so I’m a bit of a noob in that regard.
As of now highs are mid 40s and lows in 20s for start of hunt. If that holds, knowing we’ll be doing a fair amount of glassing...
Do you happen to have a haglunds deformity? I do and have had issues with tendinitis’s that stemmed from specific boots. Essentially stiff boots do not work for me at all. Most the time the heel cup pushes on that bony area and irritates the heck out of my Achilles. I need boots with a flexible...
This rant isn’t aimed at Hoyt although they are the ones who keep pushing prices up….
But I really wish manufacturers would do away with the yearly product line refreshes. It was cool back when they were making gains but anymore it’s just turning over bows for no reason other than to fuel...
My dad and I are pretty fanatical deer hunters. We’ve slowed down the last few year as I have a herd of kids and he’s older so our tastes and needs have changed. We used to buy the cheapest hang on and sticks we could find and scattershot stands all over the country side. At one point I had 30...
Yeah, it sounds ridiculous but its the best option… I’m not taking them on long hikes but going to a near by hill and checking them up down and sidehilling
The best option for trying - order boot covers on Amazon then order like 10 pairs you like and try them all. Then return everything else. The covers keep them clean and returnable. Pick one or 2 from reputable brands from blackovis or go hunt and pick your poison
It’s silly in this day and age...
The jerky guns work but it’s a pain in the ass to load after the first time unless you unscrew both ends off to load (Also a pita). The top fills with meat so you go to load it and air cant escape so you’re pushing air down and it creates this hydraulic effect and it’s hard to fill it...

I paid $225 for that model just a few weeks ago and I’ve been nothing short of impressed. It’s...
Can’t speak for nightforce but I have a trijicon credo SFP/moa on my 243 and an Rs 1.2 on my 7prc and the trij is a great scope for the price but the RS1.2 is as perfect as a hunting scope as exists between the smaller 40 mil objective, the lower mag range, FFP and a very clean, hunting centric...
Even with federal changes states like IL will still ban them. At this point, the states outright banning them are way more of an issue than paying for a tax stamp…. I can own and use suppressors as an IN resident but cross into IL with it (where I do 95% of my hunting) and it’s a felony….
I have a Sirui tripod I’ve been using for glassing only but I would like to be able to shoot off of it as well when I’m hunting so I added an arca plate to my rifle but the va5 fluid head ain’t cutting it for shooting.
I’m looking for a recommendation on a budget friendly ball head that can...
