Been going out west for several years. I hunt with recurve only even in my home state. I have enough empty tags to wall paper one wall of my game room. The other 3 walls are full of mounts. Sometimes your the windshield and sometimes your the bug.
If you’re a freezer filler you might wanna...
I’m number 35. Haven’t heard a word yet either. Praying that some guys drew tags else were and turn in their MT tag. I have zero out of the 4 draws I put in for. Good luck my friend.

I’ve been shooting the Simmons Interceptors for over 20 years now. Killed everything with them. Probably the toughest head you can find. They are easy to sharpen with the Rada sharpening tool. I shoot the 190gr screw-in. Personally met Jerry Simmons who invented them years ago. Became very good...
I don’t qualify either and have been hunting elk over 10 years. I’ve got everything I need to camp and hunt for weeks at a time. All public land hunting changes over time for sure. My gear wasn’t near as expensive as all my tags were. Guys I work with can’t believe you can spend so much with no...
Ive hunted 44 several times. My number 1 advice is if you dont have a winch then bring a come along with ya. Im.so glad i had one with me one year or woulda probably lost my truck over the edge.
Pretty much the only way I've ever known. I was raised shooting recurves from 3yrs old. Been killing deer with one for 40yrs now. Just have never had a desire to change much to a compound. A lot of my friends over the years that i shot with shot compounds and always loved to shoot with me and...
I'm a keep it simple kinda guy. Ive always been that guy who files on my riser or puts the widled down match stick as well. For the simple reason of the least amount if contact to the shaft. If it works do it. Most bows now days are built less contact shelves anyway. I've shot alot of different...
In all honesty id ditch the gilly suit and hunt from a stand. The suit will cost ya more shots then the stand hunting will. You have to move to draw on your target. Stick bows are not like compounds where you can draw early and hold. Takes practice and misses to learn from. My advise is sell...
28hr drive. We drive for 22 gotta good little pull off we been using for years. Take 2-3hr nap in truck, gets daylight and we drive the rest and set up camp. Sleep in next morning get camp lined out. Hunt for 10 to 14 days. Pack up and drive home talking about what we're doing different next...
Thank the lord thats all you asked in your question. There are under cover Elk police on this site just waiting on a newbie to ask a question so they can shoot your rookie horse out from under ya. Never ask a question about where a guy may start at. You'll learn that in the next 10 yrs if they...
I made my own out of 1/4 plywood. It is a rump decoy that folds in the middle. Slips right in my pack. I shoot a recurve and have to have them looking for something. I've had cows cows come right to it also. I love my cheap decoy.
