I have a few acres at home. 1200 acres of state ground a few hundred yards away to the west and a bigger hunk of state ground 5 miles to the east. Could actually do a lot of hunting for WT, pheasant, ducks, geese, turkey from home but rarely do. Have a cabin about 3 hours away in some big north...
I agree - 90 bolt throw and non locking the bolt down safety are non starters. Did a lot of hunting with 700's and clones, and I'm pretty much done with them for any purpose wherein they're going to get carried. Why deal with it when there's better options?
Might be a long shot, but looking to buy a McMillan Game Scout or something similar for a Left Hand Browning A-Bolt II. Would be interested in purchasing an entire rig if someone has a set up that they don't care to separate the stock from.
Have seen a few through the years, so figured I'd see...
That's awesome. Congrats on a good hunt. Good on you guys for staying with it and not giving up after a slow start. Years ago I archery hunted a unit with a guy I used to work with. 3 days in we had yet to see one and he was getting discouraged. He wanted to go give up and head back. By day 5 we...
I have a Cynergy I would part with for under your stated price. It's 30" and called the crossover model. Adjustable stock for LOP, comb height, and cast. I bought it several years ago for sporting clays, but have too busy to shoot much of it. Very few rounds through the gun. PM me if interested...

That's not true exactly. I don't know what is all entailed in getting one LOW built scope design that was produced for one company rebranded to be sold under another brand, but looking at the Maven 2-10, which is very close to the Weaver model of old, I'm pretty sure it can be done. If so, as...
Yep. I don't even need it to adhere to the arbitrary 20 ounce max I often read about; while not being an optics engineer, from my own experiences it seems that somewhere between 20 and 24 ounces on a variable scope with 40mm+ objective is where reliability begins to suffer.
Basically, just have...
Like another poster in this thread, I work in the fire/EMS service. Been at it 25 years; 12 of it was on an ambulance rotation on a busy rig wherein sleep within a 24 hour shift was almost non existent. Also worked a side job doing carpentry for most of it.
I've always loved the job (both...
