I carry the loctite super glue gel control in my first aid kit. It works great for minor cuts. I usually wait for the cut to slow down or stop bleeding then put the super glue on to seal it up.
I have a 8 man tipi and I use the naturehike or marchway ultralight cots off Amazon and I put my xtherm air pad on top of it.
The cots are shorter to the ground but it gives me more space in the tent.
If you haven’t tried pistol caliber rifles I think you should give the ruger pc carbine a shot, it’s just a fun gun to shoot or if you want to spend a little more get a CZ scorpion.
If you want rifle caliber I would go with a m1a.
I don’t snowshoe in the west but i snowshoe in Wisconsin and last year I got some northern lites that I’ve really liked. They work good and are lightweight.
I used a hmr when I first got into prs and I still love the stock for bench for positional shooting practice but I think it’s too heavy and bulky for carrying miles in the woods when I have other rifles I can use.

This was my first year with a tikka rifle and I’m really impressed with the accuracy out of a stock rifle. I went with the T3x wideland in 6.5prc.
I usually hand load but found a couple boxes of Hornady precision hunter that is consistently getting 1/2” groups.
My main woods hunting shotgun is a cz bobwhite 20 ga sxs. I’ve put hundreds of round through it without problems. I’ve also shot a lot of the cz o/u and been impressed with them but I’ve been lucky to find used brownings for around 1k.

I’ve shot the 29, 20, and 40. I prefer the 20 for the full size grip and for the me the 40 wasn’t any more accurate. Like one of the other guys mentioned you can always have the slide milled for a red dot.
