    I loaded up some hammer 138 gr hht in my wife’s 18” 30-06. I’m getting 2900 fps with nominal recoil and tiny groups using varget. I could have pushed them much faster as the load I’m using is on the lower end of the range, but the accuracy and light recoil was what we were after.

    Fishing in the Poconnos mid July/ things to do there

    Ricketts Glenn State Park is about 1.5 hours west of where you’re staying. It has 22 waterfalls and a nice trail system that you can hike to see them. It’s a bit more scenic than the Poconos.

    33 years for moose in Maine. I think it’s probably the same for Montana sheep as well. I’ve never drawn a tag that I wasn’t in the preference point pool. Kind of sobering really when you think about nonresident draw odds.

    First time suppressor buyer - best buying experience?

    I bought my first few cans through silencer central. No issues. My local gun shop then got a silencer shop kiosk. I was able to go there and use my trust that I got through SC to make purchases going forward. Both were good experiences, but my local shop is much more convenient.

    I have a kubota L3800 that I use to maintain a similar sized property in PA. I looked at JD but the kubota was a much better buy cost wise. I’ve had it for 10 years and don’t regret going orange.

    I like the CZ. I have a 20 ga o/u and a 28 ga sXs. I don’t use them unless I’m hunting over a dog, but I have no complaints. I prefer an auto loader for most of my shotgun shooting.
