It is the MDT field stock. The ergos are great and a huge improvement over stock. Only downside is that it is a little on the heavy side for what I like to pack around. -

Choosing a bullet.
I'm in Utah and also shoot a 7mag. I shoot a tikka and browning. They both shoot Partitions and Accubonds well. I took an elk with the 160gr Partition in 2021 at 120 yards and it performed beautifully. -
Utah Wasatch elk Rifle!
I know the south half of the unit well. Cell service isn't terribly hard to get on ridge tops or higher elevation points. Gets worse the deeper you go. -
how quick have you had to take shots
My one and only shot on an elk happened fast. From the time the bull was spotted until the shot rang out was probably 10 seconds after an almost sprint straight uphill. On one knee, shot uphill at 120 yards. -

Sheep pushing elk around

Muzzle brake - worth it?
It shoots the same regardless of brake on or off. And I hadn't even thought about that being an issue until you brought that up. But it makes sense. I'd like to try a suppressor. -

Muzzle brake - worth it?
I have a Browning in 7RM that came threaded with the radial brake. I've shot it back to back with and without the brake. It's crazy how much it reduces recoil. At the range I'll use the brake, but in the field I use the thread protector. I've never much noticed recoil when firing at game... -
Decided to go with Euro. Thanks to the SkullHooker
I know it's no whitetail so don't crucify me, but I used my first skullhooker this weekend. Stripped the powder and put clear on it. (I have a raw steel theme throughout my house) it's a nice product.- Devin

Wasatch Muzzle Loader elk
