Ordering now. This could be a good item to make in orange, I can...
I just tried setting up and taking down the Cabelas cot and liked it, surprise it went back in the bag without a fight. Do wish it was smaller when set up. Feels huge.
My Kifaru pants just arrived. I like them better than the Kuiu due to robust material it matters. Quality of construction seems a little better and tag says made in USA. Somehow I thought packing them down would be quite bulky but they’re about the size of a Nalgene bottle...
Nice. Is the plate curved? Been thinking of this but don’t want a flat plate on curved forearm (idea of it bugs me even if it’s snug), however I haven’t yet looked for curved Arca plates. Could mill a flat but beyond my tools.
Agree with your choice of placement.
Tenacious tape is good stuff, but wouldn’t be my choice if your situation is what I’m picturing. I have had great luck with it fixing 1/2” cuts on down bags, and it adheres well. It sounds to me like it might help to just get it oversewn and reinforce as a long term fix.
Maybe post a picture?
I’m wondering same thing. I am going to learn the video function on my DSLR, it would be nice to carry just one camera. I’ll probably have that along anyway, so maybe don’t need another thing to carry. Curious what others are doing.
The pieces I have are well made and the fit/cut is very good for I guess what I’d call active casual clothing. Perfect for knocking around. Not the cheapest but I think the durability will pan out in the long run. I’ve got an Arcteryx fleece I’ve been wearing for ten years and no signs of...
Kuiu Super Down seemed very fragile, sent the pants back. I’m trying the Kifaru Lost Park pants instead, which except for also having two legs are about as different from the Kuiu as it gets. The Kuiu just felt like gossamer construction to me.
Oboz Sawtooth work great for me, but other Oboz models not as good for my feet. I have problems with heel lift in most boots. Keep in mind the lasts can change year to year. Has forced me to switch brands before.
The visible foam on sole gives me same concern, but the rest of the design seems really well thought out, so it’s probably not the weak point I imagine. Buying mine this week.
