    It seems to me that terrain matters if you're trying to push your sleep system to an extreme. Cool air tends to collect around the river, no?

    After trying a double bag this is where I am too. It didn't help that I prefer less padding under me, and unless it's really cold I typically don't zip my bag up all the way. Sometimes when car camping I'll take blankets and put them over partially unzipped bags so we can have some skin contact.

    That's a really cool idea, at least for something that's not too heavy, have you tested them with loads? What do you print with, any special filament? This got me thinking about ideas for adding attachment points to test things before making a finished version.

    I've been busy and haven't looked at mine yet but this is the conclusion I came to as this has been kicking around the back of my mind. On the bubblewrap ideas, I've also been cutting mine down and retaping to make pouches for sandwiches or other food on day hikes.
