Makes sense, I'm still having a friend make things if I need them, I'm eyeing picking up a printer but have enough projects to tinker with that I've been avoiding jumping in just yet.
I'm in the preferring the mo versions, but I only have one. If I had two I could see getting the flash for times when I just want to melt snow or boil water..
After trying a double bag this is where I am too. It didn't help that I prefer less padding under me, and unless it's really cold I typically don't zip my bag up all the way. Sometimes when car camping I'll take blankets and put them over partially unzipped bags so we can have some skin contact.
That's a really cool idea, at least for something that's not too heavy, have you tested them with loads? What do you print with, any special filament? This got me thinking about ideas for adding attachment points to test things before making a finished version.
I've been busy and haven't looked at mine yet but this is the conclusion I came to as this has been kicking around the back of my mind.
On the bubblewrap ideas, I've also been cutting mine down and retaping to make pouches for sandwiches or other food on day hikes.
I like the rack idea, and the suggestion to fill the top of the cooler with foam is a good idea. Is there a good way to tell if there is a need for foam before drilling into the lid? This might be a fall project.
I have been stocking up on the reflective foam pouches from food delivery...

Rockywoods has a 1 inch buckle that looks different but sounds like it might fit your needs. I find buckles to be really frustrating to search for, it's hard to know where to look and how to name the features you specifically want in a search.
