After you fix your target panic, spend some hunts still hunting into areas bucks might be bedded. When you bump a buck, drop a pin on OnX. Map any other sign you come across. When you've done this enough, you'll be able to see on the map how deer use the land you're hunting. It's also a nice...
I think you're looking at the wrong stats for ranking opportunity. 2/3 of those states are one-buck states. PA's deer population is 15% lower than Wisconsin's, but PA sells 30% more licenses. You can't just go by kills because us PA boys like to get after it.
Yeah. My election-induced post was pretty tongue-in-cheek, but I'm impressed by some of the thoughtful responses. I might use a few of the ideas next year.
This topic has been really weighing on my mind. Every October and November I go through so much anxiety over it. My wife and I have different priorities this time of year. Between family and friends, we haven't been able to get everyone together for a just one birthday party for one of my...
This thread has me convinced I need to stockpile some 30-year shelf life mountain house meals for the fam. What kind of sale should I hold out for? Think I can get 30% off around black Friday? If I plan to eat 5 per year, minimum, I might as well buy 150 bags, right?
@Rotnguns I appreciate you posting the road name for me. I've written it down and dropped some pins in OnX. Can you edit your posts to remove that now so our spot doesn't get too crowded?
This isn't hard, guys. If you need the federal government to hire a worker with more education to sit in a truck on the side of a closed road all day so that they can provide the general public with articulate info on hunting conditions in the area, just donate money for that workers salary when...
Computer hacking skills is good advice. During COVID I set up a program to snipe coveted grocery delivery timeslots within seconds of them becoming available. Without it I would have had to shop the old fashioned way.
How long is a 270 win cartridge with the 155gn LRX seated to an appropriate depth? Will it fit in your magazine? Will you be able to send a dummy round to the person chambering your new barrel?
20% isn't a very large percentage. The OP's third paragraph says this is about groups and not individuals. This includes all big game seasons and species. Given all that, the poll results match my expectations.
I shot a buck with my bow last year that ran over 1/4 mile and went into private property that I was denied permission to access. There was a ton of blood all the way to the property line. I keep thinking it must have been a poor shot for it to run that far.
We saved about 40% by buying a floor display Bosch from our local Best Buy instead of ordering a new one. We love how quiet it is compared to the Frigidaire we were running.
