Easton Axis arrows are great, I’ve shot them for a while and have been very impressed. They are fast and hit hard, they also penetrate much deeper than normal diameter arrows.
Shot about 100 arrows today, plus working out. One thing that helps me when I can get to the range or it’s cold out is “blank bale shooting,” shoot 5-10 yards with your eyes closed just practicing on a clean break of the release. Lots of e-scouting and putting in for tags for the upcoming...
I always leave the quiver in no matter what. You don’t want to have to worry where your arrows are at when they can just be right at hand and the issue brought up with counterbalancing isn’t enough of an argument to take it off. Also having it on your belt or wherever it just flops around and...
I have used the Metcalf for a couple years now and it’s never let me down. It can be compressed to a tiny day pack or expanded to fit 10+ days of equipment in it. I’ve used it to pack out many deer while and it carries large loads incredibly well. Would definitely recommend!
Make sure the pack fits you right, I got my Mystery Ranch Metcalf from a Mystery Ranch dealer and they fit it to me, I have packed out whole deer and it’s never fun but the Mystery Ranch is definitely the best pack I’ve ever used. After packing out large loads you will almost surley be sore but...
I have always used a Mystery Ranch Metcalf and it is an amazing pack, many deer have been packed out while on it and the pack has stood up to the abuse. Would definitely recommend!
I shoot a 5mm Axis in four fletch with a 300 spine and it has been a great arrow, they are durable and penetrate better than a normal diameter hunting arrow.
