Of course, I'm biased BUT the 773 is no slouch and next to the lower grade ATS/STS (as compared to ATX/STX), I think all would absolutely give the nod to the Kowa TSN-773. Again, look to the independent reviews. Backwoods Pursuit ranked the 773 as Rank #1 in "Best in hunting" here...
Doug, FYI it seems the possibilities of glassing with the new extra wide fixed eyepiece TE-80xw are being really well received by early adopting western hunters. Not only is this the widest field available but crisp edge to edge, 40x & 35x fixed on the 99 / 880, 770, with the 1.6x extender still...

Beat me to it. The PROMINAR series 88 & 77 mm models use the Kowa TSN-EX16, a 1.6x extender easily mounted between scope body and eyepiece, changing the zoom from 25-60 to 40-96x (retails for $350 at authorized Kowa dealers). See instructional video here on Kowa's YouTube page
