The area we hunt in CO is one the units that just went from OTC to a draw. The access and the terrain is essentially a continual kick in the nuts the whole way through. Good times. Never hunted Montana -

To anyone reading the archery forum
In the process of getting set up. I've been doing all my own arrows the past couple years but within the next year I plan to be set up to do everything but build strings. I like to tinker and I think learning to work on your own set up is a major confidence booster. -

Best Commuter Car
~140 mile round trip, usually 6 days a week. The ole 6 speed Chevy cruze has done fine, usually right around 38-40 mpg. It's been a good enough little car but I don't know that I'd buy another- Jermh

WTS Kuiu Pro 6000
Bought another pack so moving this one along. Used for 2 seasons. It's seen blood a few times but it's cleaned up pretty good and overall in good shape. Everything in working order. Sm/Med belt, guide lid, 2 hip pouches. $450- Jermh

3 pin slider set up.
I hunt mainly in the east with usually one western hunt/year most years. The past couple years I've had my MBG 3 pin set to 25, 40, 50. It's worked fine and I was fine with shooting that gap for most hunting scenarios but I just added a 4th pin to make it 20, 30, 40, 50. The 3 pin was fine and... -

Switching from handheld to index release
I don't use a hinge but I do shoot a hand held. I used paracord to make a 'wrist strap' for it. It's still not quite as handy and I do take it off on occasion but I like it much better than having nothing. I don't think I could go back to an index. -
