The 80 will take in more light overall giving better picture quality. What you'll see is cheap scopes with high zoom, they will have much larger lenses then the higher dollar scopes at the same magnification. Having a a swarovski you dont have to worry about that side of it though, there glass...

i also have a bergera bmr. i have a vortex viper pst gen2 on mine. i know that that is outside of your price range but vortex does have a strike eagle 5-25x56, i got to shoot my buddies gun that he has one on and was thoroughly impressed by it

if you are willing to get a razor thats what i would get personally. the razor at 65x is more than clear enough, you could probably spot a coues deer on mars
