    I have the Mystery Ranch and have been very happy with it. I got a new pair of binos that don't fit and I am waiting for an Eberlestock Recon to come in. Heard great things about it.

    I made the upgrade from Vortex optics to Swarovski. 10X42 vortex vipers to 8.5X42 EL. I got a good deal on a used pair, I can't wait to get them in the field.

    What’s everyone using for rain gear?

    My insulated rain wear is Rivers West. It works great. I have endured some crappy weather and always come home dry...especially if I keep my hands down. the wrist cuffs can let a little water in if you are not careful. Warm weather I am going with Kuiu Katana. 2 thumbs up.

    Brightest headlamp or compact flashlight

    Definitely check out Nitecore, they have some great headlamps as well as flashlights. Klarus is also one to look at for lights. Headlamps with about 2K lumens and flashlights with up to 5K lumens is where you want to be, anything brighter you get to much bounce-back and wind up blinding...

    MKC Jackstone

    I also purchased a Stubhorn on the drop. Feels great in the hand. Can't wait to put it through its paces this fall. It is going with me on a bear hunt in Maine as well as locally for whitetails.

    All around deer hunting cartridge.

    I am also a big fan of the 7mm-08. Been hunting with it for over 25 years. Never failed to do the job.

    MKC Jackstone

    I went with the MKC Whitetail. The ergos work a little better for me. I didn't have the opportunity to use it on any deer this past winter......I wasn't that lucky. I did skin out and butcher 4 rabbits, but I don't really think that was a true test of trying to put the knife through its paces...
