    Side note, why did you end up keeping the hoodlum? I have been looking at both of these. Currently have the fulcrum and really like the center zip, but something smaller and sleeker would be nice at times when I don't have to carry all my kids stuff.

    7 years. I had to do a complete career change after 5 years in another industry... I did not enjoy that and learned that liking my job is very important to me.

    Sorry to hear about your situation. It seems to change every few days with the ambulances and hospitals we utilize but that policy is not uncommon. It is a frustrating time and doesn't seem to make much sense. I sure hope you can get in there.

    Soto Windmaster with various pots. Gives me flexibility on different pot volumes if I'm alone or with hunting buddies or kids. The Soto has been great through lots of different altitudes and weather. Biggest problem is fuel canister being really cold, but I always throw mine in my sleeping bag...

    I rented an old duplex that had radiant heat in the ceilings when I was building our house in WA. I was always weirded out by the concept, but I was warm all winter. Very stagnant airflow vs. any forced air system. It didn't cost as much to heat as I expected, but it was a pretty small space...

    Phone with a waterproof case, inreach, and battery pack for me. Everything electronic I bring including headlamp is rechargeable now so it's not just for the phone. I use OnX for most navigation and marking waypoints, but have the best of both worlds with really good mapping layers from Garmin...
