    Which Optics should I Use?

FWIW I got Athlon Cronus UHD for my son and I'm shocked at how good they are when I try then back to back with my NL Pures (both are 10x42). I've had the same reaction from friends who've tried them.

My thoughts on the current alpha rangefinding binos (Zeiss Victory RF, Leica 3200.com, Swarovski El Range)

Mojave and JG, that's the same logic I used...I run an EL Pure and a Leica Rangefinder and I've found the combo performs great. And if the RF ever falls I won't be out a pair of binos while I wait for the RF to be fixed...

2022 Head To Head Bow Test

This would be probaby the best measure that’s quantifiable. I should probably put my x10 on my bows but I already know which ones hold well for me so I don’t bother.

2022 Head To Head Bow Test

If it’s not what you’d be worried about then you just reinforced what I said. What is dead in the hand for you may not be dead in the hand for someone else and so a number or graph from an accelerometer may be useful for you and no one else who doesn’t perceive dead in the hand they way you do.

2022 Head To Head Bow Test

Accelerometer will show movement but not necessarily what is dead in hand as they aren’t mean to measure vibration. Plus different frequencies of vibration can be perceived differently just as low frequency sounds can be felt but high frequency sounds are not.

Is it already time for new cables and strings?

As a new archer you should look up the web site “Hunter’s Friend” where they have a lot of great info on bows and one of the topics is warranty and returns etc…and explains why this industry is not like a car dealership or returning stuff to big box stores like Walmart. My opinion is replace...

I picked up my first bow.

If they fly funky I wouldn’t be quick to blame the broadheads till you check everything else. BHs tend to be more demanding of a good bow tune. See if the points spin true. Check your bow via paper and/or bareshaft tuning. When my bow shoots a bareshaft same as my fletched arrows my BHs fly...

    MATHEWS CAM BEARING ISSUES

I’ve had 2 sets of cams replace by Lancaster Archery after the bearings went bad on my VXR28. Their tech replaced it so it’s either 1) a problem with cheap bearings, or 2) trained techs don’t know how to install the cams. Personally I think it’s cheap bearings, each set lasted about 7000 shots...

Idaho Unit 43 & Dirt Bikes

Does the Idaho trail maps show more trails than OnX or do they match up pretty good?

Idaho Unit 43 & Dirt Bikes

I plan to bring dirt bikes to hunt in the Bannock zone for archery season - for those who have knowledge of the dirt bike trails, are the main difficulty because of fallen trees and lack of maintenance or are there steep challenging sections?

Mission Radik *Live* Youth Bow Review **Updated 11/21/22**

I started my son on a MIssion Hammr when he was 10…he’s 11 now and gone from 19# draw weight 20” draw to 43# DW and 25” draw, and there’s still plenty of room for growth with the bow. Very pleased with the adjustability and performance of the bow so far.

    Arrows

i’m a 2 year noob but I’ve gone through a similar journey with the bow and the arrow selections. In the beginning I just looked for cheap carbon arrows because of durability and cost. I don’t know where you are going to shoot for practice, but my 11 yo son and I started together and we shoot...
