I've been using the LPP the last 5 years now in AK and it's been great. A little loft has been lost, but it still keeps me warm. I burned a hole in the pants at moose camp one year, but after T tape it's been fine.
I got a chance to play with the Wrangell pack at the outdoors show last weekend. Seems pretty slick can't remember the price off the top of my head. If I ever wear the barneys bag out on my frame that's what I'll replace it with.
I won one years ago at a ducks unlimited banquet and it has been fantastic. The only issue I ever had is when I fell and the gun went under water in a marsh. After cleaning it up it was fine.
I forgot to mention Cedric goes to a lot of the SCI shows, so it's been nice being able to talk to him in person. He's usually at the Alaska SCI banquet every year.
I've gone Hunting with Cape to Cairo twice. Once in south Africa, second trip was to Namibia. I've had a fantastic time with Cedric. His wife runs a safari business that we plan on using for our honeymoon eventually(can't remember the name). He is going to work with me to hunt everywhere we go...
I wish they were cheaper, but for something small and light I can throw in my kill kit I'll give them a shot. I party drew an elk tag on Afognak this year, so i'm curious to see how they will work.
Update if anyone cares. Got a response from Wiser Precision today. They are hoping to have the "Pynch Pulley" live on the website in a month or two. They said inventory isn't an issue, but there are other things that have to be done before the official launch on the website. Price will be closer...
We ended up buying a new tundra in 2019. 55k miles so far on it, no issues. Ended up buying one because my wife had a tacoma and it was the easiest MX i've dealt with. Hindsight wish we would of kept the tacoma instead of trading it in. I've got two jeeps that always seem to need something done...
The only thing I regret is not getting good optics years ago. The NL's are a pleasure to look through. I've added the 115 + the ATX since then. Have not got to use it much yet, but it was awesome for looking at goats last year. I probably will end up getting some 10's for my wife at some point...
I've used noso patches and tenacious tape. I prefer using noso patches when I can do the repair at the house and use tenacious tape in the field. The noso patches seem to last longer for me. I've got a pair of Kuiu guide pants with a noso square and it's lasted over 5 years the only wear it has...
