Be sure to have your peep moved, if you switch from an index release to a thumb release your peep needs to come up or it will cause you to anchor incorrectly. Also be sure to set off the release using your 1st or second knuckle. Otherwise you’ll probably be punchy and or develop some form of...
Shenandoah sporting goods got in 30 8oz containers last week, $79 ea. Just an FYI for anyone in the area. I’d definitely call in advance to make sure it’s still available. It’s the only place I’ve seen with it on the shelf in a while around here.
You may need glasses or contacts. Verifiers are like readers for clearing up the pins or seeing what’s closest more clearly, clarifiers are to clear a magnified image, you could try a single pin but that won’t clean up the image at distance just give a simpler sight picture. I’ve worn glasses...
Most shops should have plenty of the felt laying around, I’ve found that you can cut just about any of them to fit well, heat shrink works best on the arms of the launcher. I’d bet even a piece of gorilla tape would do the trick for the center as well.
And for the record the TRX and V3X are two totally different bows, sure the ATA is close but they use two totally different cam designs, limb designs and the V3X has yokes to where the TRX does not. Both are great bows but different design and feel.
Stan perfex is hands down the best thumb release ever made. Make sure when you switch you move your peep up, otherwise you’ll be anchoring in correctly. Might even need to go 1/2” longer draw. One of the pros of buying in a shop is they’ll more than likely help you set it up, show you how to use...
Also you can move the red needle to a different mounting position, if you remove the screw holding it completely you can simply screw it back into the sight so it’s at the top of the tape. If you have access to a chrono you can use Black gold sight tapes on Axcel sights also. Makes getting close...
Trx 34 is hard to beat for a crossover bow. I know a handful of people who use them for hunting and comp, if you use a landslyde and and lighter hunting arrows like a Black Eagle carnivore you could should the same set up year round. Not the most ideal indoor setup but it would just depend on...
Go to Hoffmans’s Archery, they’ll help you figure out what’s best for you and let you try them so you can see for yourself. They also do 80% of the county qualifications for the urban program so they can help you get on the right track with that too.
is anyone else getting tired of all the wasted space on this forum over arrow builds? Your arrow won’t make you kill more animals, putting it where it needs to be does. I feel like we need a separate section just for arrow debates these days. I shoot speed arrows, you shoot heavy arrows, big...
What did you use to re color the antlers? Looks good, I always wash some of the color out of mine no matter how I cover them, I tried the coffee thing but didn’t have much luck
I shoot a 360g arrow and it works just fine. I don’t think there’s too many setups that won’t work well for white tail at 60# 27”. Just don’t shoot rage… or any Broadhead not made in the US!
35 Remington, I take it out once a year during the rut. My grandfather gave me my Marlin when I was 13, I try to take it out every season at least once… even 23 years later. Usually only take the bow otherwise. Plus who doesn’t like a lever action?
