If you have not purchased a saddle setup yet, I would hold off on doing so this season. There are easily over 100 setup combinations when you considered the different types of saddles, platforms, climbing methods, etc. The best and worst thing about saddle hunting is that you can customize it...
Most people will use a back strap to give them back support and let them lean back in the saddle. You can adjust the length and height to get the right lean for their personal preference. I've seen a lot of people report that they would have really bad back pain from sitting in their hang on...
I lived in AK for a couple of years. I preferred to carry a Ruger 44 Mag while fishing in bear country. I noticed most of the people fishing in those areas preferred revolvers too.
I recommend listening to the Ken Coleman show. His podcast is free to download. He has a pretty straight forward approach to looking at career changes, how to find your sweet spot so that you are excited about going to work every day. You can get the majority of his approach after listening to...
I have friends that are hard core vegans and have also sworn off alcohol and sugar. When we go to their house, dinner is obviously vegan. They are always surprised that I eat the vegan meal. I'm not sure why they are surprised. They are good cooks and it is always a very good meal. I just remind...
I like listening to The Hunting Public. Lot's of good stories about their own hunting plus lots of good guests. No official commercials for products but they do talk about certain items that they like to use during hunts.
I recently started listening to 9 Finger Chronicles. He runs in a...

It depends on where you are. Along the rivers and shores where there is a breeze it wasn't bad. If you go into the interior, it can get very bad. I was chased out of the woods once with bad mosquitoes but I spent most of July on a river someplace looking for salmon.
I would highly recommend Alaska in July. I lived there for three years and it is great that time of year. In addition to the other comments above, there are scenic train rides from Anchorage to Denali and Seward. You can also find bush pilots to do flights over the mountains and glaciers...
I would check out some of the podcasts or YouTube videos by The Hunting Public. As the title suggests, they tend to hunt only public land. They travel around a lot, hunt a lot of different areas, and some of their hunts seem to describe the type of white tail hunting you are looking for. They...
