They have definitely gotten smaller. I wear 34's and had to go larger with my recent purchases. All the 34's from a couple years back fit just like the 36's now.
You won't need a sling or a rangefinder. Most PRS-style matches are shooting at known ranges and all targets identified before you shoot. You'll just carry your rifle from stage to stage and set it down on the line with the bipod.
Use the lightest recoiling firearm you have.
You should see the reactions from the hikers when hunting ptarmigan and grouse. This time of year is the fall colors and the mountains are more busy than usual with hikers. It ranges from horror that someone has a gun to people saying the dogs must be on leash. LOL
Old post I know but I'm very surprised there is so little info out there about this scope. I picked one up off a prize table to put on an ARC 22 AR and I'm honestly shocked at the quality. The glass is really nice, it tracks well and has lots of travel with the 34mm tube.

I use measured velocity and shoot to 600 which is the longest distance I have regular access to. I then adjust BC to match if not running a CC. Haven’t had an issue where this doesn’t work out to 1000 for Hunter matches.
Most times I just use a CC, plug in measure velocity and drops match as...
Differences between matches usually comes down to eyes or no eyes (vast majority don't require safety glass) and how stringent on gun handling violation.
Gunsite (AZ) requires eyes so they're strict about it. Two of the Laramie matches required eyes but the last one did not.
Point a gun at...
I can't believe there are no more posts here about this head. I bought one to try out and am very impressed with it using the Kowa 88. Very fluid and easy to adjust.
