Don't know about Idaho but I've never seen a snake while hiking or hunting archery elk in Sept in Colorado. Been hiking these mountains for 24 years now.
Don't know why I didn't notice this when I made my original post buy I bought the scope that is on my rifle in my pic above from them, they are just down the road from me, Fred is a great guy to deal with. As far as a range card goes I guess it depends on what you need. His card is for quick...
A lot of bases allow hunting if they are large enough to be able to safely handle it. The downside is getting a tag for the base and then the base schedules training throughout the hunting season and you end up not being able to hunt. It can be a bit of a gamble.
? Big Sky has way more beginner terrain and much smaller crowds than Steamboat.
Breckenridge is one of the last places I would take a beginner. The crowds there are insane.
Who cares what the average price is? As a business owner it’s up to you to determine what your overhead expenses are, what costs go in to doing each mount, the amount of time it takes to handle each mount which includes everything from answering emails and phone calls, to receiving packages and...
If you shot a rifle as much as you shot a bow it wouldn't be worth $1500 after a year either.
Both of the bows I have bought in the last ten years were the end of year model clearance sales. Both times I bought $1600 bows for under $1k.
It's only expensive of you choose to make it expensive.
I think a lot of this "garand specific ammo" comes down to lawyers. You have a non profit selling 80 year old rifles, the safe bet is to tell people to use a downgraded load.
Next fuddlore.. .308 is not the same as 7.62x51..
The Garand Collectors Association themselves published an article about this in one of their quarterly issues. The Garand was developed around the M1 ball cartridge which is the same as any current commercial load under 180 grains. Yet this whole M2 Ball special ammo thing still keeps going on...
The ammo thing has been debunked over and over. Bent op rods are the result of people that don't know how to properly lube a garand.
Buy from the CMP, I would get a service grade but they are out of them currently. The grade descriptions are accurate, if you don't want to wait for service grade...
Should be perfectly fine to hunt outside of the marked ski area boundaries as long as you follow all of the regular forest service rules on discharging a firearm within X distance of trails and structures.. Who cares if someone sees you with a rifle.
