    Which Android Podcast App

Pocket casts. I love that it syncs so I can pick up where I left off. I use the Google app for education/work stuff rather than using the filters though to keep the Pocket casts interface easier to use in the car.

If you could only have one boot, which of these would it be? Lowa Tibet or Camino

I only have experience with the camino as a hiking boot, but I am very happy with them. Tibet would certainly be on my short list for a backcountry boot.

    Giant Mouse knives?

My version is the natural micarta. Looks so good after some ballistol to darken it up a little. After my initial post I actually played with mine some more. If it was a little bigger and would flick open more predictably it'd be a lot nicer. Decently sharp out of the box for me, but I haven't...

    Giant Mouse knives?

I have a biblio. It's not the smoothest action I've ever felt, but it does feel solid. Overall it just didn't speak to me as much as I thought it would so it's in the drawer full of knives to eventually sell off or give to my boys. I prefer benchmade, spyderco, Emerson for my own use or carry.

Soft shell comparison - Arcteryx, Sitka, Kuiu, SG - others?

I have the kuiu axis hybrid. It's a great piece. Water resistance is good and wind isn't an issue. For cooler weather I'll stick to layering though, as insulation isn't what it's for. Sizing up is a must with kuiu if you go that route.

    Cheap Stuff that Works

Not a traditional sheath, but for protecting my pack (and fingers) I picked up this "bladesafe" when I ordered the victorinox knife. It fits perfect and is snug enough that I trust it rattling around in my kill kit. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000EYZY9E

    Cheap Stuff that Works

It'd be nice if PayPal or another company would make a universal system that generates one-use card numbers. Privacy does something like this but it's linked to your checking account and I don't want that information in the cloud. Hopefully you have better luck soon, but if not there should be...

    Cheap Stuff that Works

Excellent thread. Picking up a lot of the little bits and might grab one of the swazi hoods. Just have to figure out sizing for big dudes. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk

    Remington Bankrupt/Sold off

I'm also excited to see what happens with Marlin. A lever action might be my next rifle.

    Binoc cases??

Just got my outdoor vision after poking around at a local shop. Considered the AGC but the OV seemed a little more streamlined in pics. Happy with it so far, in playing with it at home anyway. Feels like it's barely there. Chest straps would be snug for anyone bigger than 2xl but it feels like...

Glock VS. Springfield XDM in 10mm?

I chose the Glock 20. Wasn't a fan of the grip safety on the XDM bit I could live with it. It was accurate but I have other Glocks so the 20 made more sense to me. I just wish I could have found the 20 in OD green. I plan on swapping to truglos and picking up the Kenai chest rig or one of the...

Kuiu Venture vs. Mystery Pop up

The venture won't have a load shelf if that's a consideration. I'm in the market for a small pack for day hunts and crossed the Kuiu off the list for that reason.

Hawke Endurance ED 15-45x60 Spotting Scope Review, By Joe Soto

I put a tripod plate on mine in the case and it helped. The case doesn't move around as much with it on. Doesn't fix the wonky end flaps though.

Hawke Endurance ED 15-45x60 Spotting Scope Review, By Joe Soto

I haven't had time to do much with the 15-45 yet, but I am happy with it so far. Viewing across a lake the other morning was it's first test. 5km distance as the crow flies, with pretty challenging conditions. "Seeing" was poor, to borrow an astronomy term. It was hazy, with mirage and...

Hawke Endurance ED 15-45x60 Spotting Scope Review, By Joe Soto

Just ordered one of these after I left Glacier NP disappointed with the 10x magnification of my binos. Hoping for good things. I do like the glass on my small Hawke 10x32 Endurance EDs.
