It is interesting that they didn’t include the weight upfront on in the description or specifications. Why make someone dive into the manual to find that? I probably wouldn’t have opened the manual if you hadn’t pointed that out.
Thank you for the insight.
This fall I didn’t have a hard time spotting elk. In fact I spotted all of them with my binos. My existing spotter isn’t too if the line by any means, but it is t complete garbage either. I just can’t help but wonder if I had a better spotter if I’d use the spotter...
Thanks for your input. I have a Vortex SS-P. I’m now thinking I might just stick with the same tripod but upgrade the head. My hunting partner has the Sirui VA5 and said he likes it. It seems that is a very popular head as it is often mentioned in the research I’ve been doing the last few days...
Not a terrible idea. Perhaps I’ll get a better, more stable tripod and use it with my existing spotter any binos and then determine if I want to keep the spotter, upgrade it, or get rid of the spotter all together.
Are you suggesting I ditch my current spotting scope and use binos on the tripod, or ditch a small spotter all together? If the latter, can you provide some additional info why you suggest not having a small spotting scope? Thanks.
Thank you for this link and the suggestion as I’m not an expert on tripods and just started researching them recently.
How does that Tricer BC tripod compare to the Aziak backcountry lite tripod? It appears that the Tricer (27 oz) is heavier than the Aziak (18.9 oz). It better to have a little...
I ended up ordering a pair of the OR Colossus pants a few days ago when I saw that when adding it to the cart the price dropped another 25% from the already discounted price. Ended up being $84 for the solid color and $117 for the multicam.
I thought all 6.5 CMs were 1:8. Wasn’t that one of the big characteristics of the 6.5 CM when it can out is that it is twisted for heavy, long for caliber bullets? That was/is one of the big advantages over the 260.
For the past few years I’ve been using an Athlon Cronus 12-36x50 on a Vortex Summit tripod.
I bought the spotter because it was lightweight, compact and affordable. I bought the tripod, because I really didn’t know much about tripods and it seemed like a good deal and was lightweight.
This...
I’ve never seen or heard of these before. Looks like a cool rifle. It’s interesting thst they put the bolt in the left and side and show right handed shooters shooting it in the video.
You may want to keep an eye out for a Vortex Razor 1.5-8x32. They made them for a while and then discontinued them. This would probably work well for your rifle.
