Thanks for the inputs. I'm worried about using any of these as an outer later since I'm mostly going through brush and dead trees in the desert that will shred them. Still leaning towards the Atom LT that I'll throw a softshell over. I'd also like to be able to wear it casually around town...
Does anyone have additional comments on this jacket now that its been out for a bit? I am looking for a lightweight puffy to use as a mid layer. Looking at this vs. things like the Arcteryx Atom LT or Patgonia Nano air
Relentlessly following the reddit discord for reloading components and making rounds to the local stores every weekend for me. Pretty rare to find things in store but if you don't go you won't find anything...
How is the durability long term? I guess it mainly depends on the top/clear coat you put on it? I would be concerned about the texture feeling too slippery or tacky
Surprised no one has mentioned Meateater yet. Maybe that's a given...
Impact Shooting has some great content. Mainly focused on PRS and target shooting. However, he has some cool long-format hunting videos in South Africa (where he is located). Great production value for a smaller channel
Did you bring that up with them? Were they not willing to fix it or discount you for the damage? I think most places would rather give you 50% or redo it than have poor reviews Google and the forums!
I'm surprised they haven't yet. Kind of strange. They offer S90V on some of the special model Bugouts already. Maybe they want to push people towards those?
The Ascent pants are great. Lightweight and breathe well. They are not particularly quiet as others have pointed out but they're not overly loud like some fabrics. They also run a bit slim, at least in my case.
I have a Mini Crooked River from their custom shop and I'd highly recommend it. Although mini is in the name it is a great size. The standard crooked river is quite large. Also from the custom shop you can select from a ton of different blade steels, handle materials/colors, etc.
