How does the PVA shank fit into the stock. Ive read they’re slightly thicker than tikka OEM. Did you have to open it up?
What contour is your stock with the PVA?
Is the PVA the standard freebore and 1:7 twist? I’m also looking to shooting factory 108 so I’m interested in your results...
You can check Inciweb for each specific fire. If you are worried about a particular one, the inciweb page will give you information about closures. If there is a closure it is very specific.
I would point you toward the Exo mountain gear Experience Project podcast.
On various episodes they cover rain gear for Idaho (Rocky Mountain west) vs Alaska (foul weather places) and things to think through. They are currently doing a rain gear review with 4 sets of lightish weight rain gear...
I’d like to hear a how to episode on documenting bullet performance. Things to include and not to include when posting results.
I’ve noticed a lot of threads on bullet performance but most of these posts don’t have enough context to offer real value.
How to include useful pictures and video etc..

Im trying to give the paint pen a fair shot because I have had a random loose screw on my rings that I loctited and didn’t hold.
I do think i applied too much...
I’ll second the pack set up for more efficient gear deployment.
I’m assuming this relates to Hunt specific gear and not camping/ clothing gear.
This new bag design has me intrigued on what is missing.
But also what can we do now with the bags that are available.

The pin was not undersized. The hole on the OEM mechanism was egg shaped.
I got a replacement set from Mountain Tactical. New pin, spring and mechanism.
I installed it that way. Now that I raised the shelf it stays put. Prior to that modification it would drop down so that it was no longer in the top hole. That’s where I think it’s integrity was compromised running the bolt against an unseated pin. The pin was still long enough to keep the...
Basically, what I think happened is the shelf sits too low.
On your stocks, I’m assuming the shelf for the pin is high enough to retain the pin in its normal seated position, is that correct?
This was my thinking. Going forward, if my decision to raise the shelf was correct, I will be looking to make sure any new stock I get for a tikka, the shelf snugs up to the pin appropriately. Not something I would have thought to look before
