I’m sorry I just went under the assumption that everyone knew and used safe reloading practices when working up a load. I have always used the half grain less method when loading LRM primers in standard calibers never had accuracy issues.
I was always told half a grain less powder for using magnum primers in standard calibers. But yes they are fine to load. Also more dependable in extreme cold
I bought two of the cabelas wool sweaters with the wind stopper liner one for hunting and one for work and they are fine while doing very minimal activity but as soon as a guy starts to move around a bunch it’s like wearing a garbage sack under a nice wool sweater. Zero breathability.
I have the scheel’s brand that are over the calf and the smart wool that are the standard height. I really like the scheel’s and they were half the price of the smart wool. The smart wool started to fall down after some use
I have had whites, kennetrek’s, hoffman, and schnee’s. The schnee hunter 2s and the Hoffman guides are my picks they are half as bulky-clumsy feeling while walking and a little lighter insulated so your your feet don’t get near as wet.
Contact the outfitter and ask if the saddles have “overshoe” stirrups on them which they dang sure should. I would not ride a standard stirrup with rubber soled lace up boots. A stiffer boot will be more comfortable if the saddles have a narrower stirrup hanging on them. The schee’s hunter 2 or...
Your ‘06 loaded with 150 or 180 siroccos will be a stunner killing deer or elk but just as bockja stated they can be seating depth sensitive as well as being fairly expensive if your doing any volume of shooting.
21lbs deer, elk, antelope, or combo of the three, 4lbs bacon ends and pieces, twice grind course, add 1/2 quart buttermilk and legg’s 8 oz seasoning pack. Mix well and package it up. A fan favorite in my part of the world
