I think I saw that bird when I dropped mine off. I couldn’t stop looking at it because of the craftsmanship and detail. He does a remarkable job. I know the long wait will be well worth it in the end. Still need to figure out a base to put mine on.
Taking the reported article and source's comments at face-value a couple things come to mind:
- "Taking away/not conducive to the park experience," reads as someone's feelings were hurt/offended but not a park rule violation. I would have expected that if the flying US flags were in violation...
Can anyone point me to a quality taxidermist for a full strut mount Tom? I’m in eastern, Kansas. My taxidermist is too far behind and couldn’t take it.
I’d like to avoid the horror story I read regarding the gentleman’s elk. So, prior first hand experience would be awesome. Thanks in advance.
"Morningstar - The Long View w/ Christine Benz" is a well run and informative podcast that dives into different financial topics. She is a board member for the John Bogle Center for Financial Literacy.
There are 5-6 well known budget strategies that people can research and see what fits their personality/goals. Personal finance is not a one-size fit approach. Define your goals first and then reverse engineer how much money it will take to accomplish that goal. I have found that the...
I second this. Personal Capital is an excellent financial tool to use and it's free. I have been using it for 5 years now. No issues with account security. At the beginning of use, their financial sales reps/advisors attempted to call me to pitch products. Since I DIY, I told them I would...
Currently, wife and I will target age 50-52 as retired (13 years to go). I don't know if that is what OP considers early or not. We'll have plenty to keep us busy. This can all change with the expansion of our family. I also don't bet on anything ever going according to plan. If not...
Agreed!
I spent two weeks at CSAT, over a two year period, to attend a couple of his courses. Read his book as well. He instills leadership foundational principles that are second to none. I got to be a TL during both courses and it was one of the best experiences of my career. Great, no...
Burning the candle at all ends will fatigue a person and send them to a dark place mentally, physically etc. A human only has so much fuel in the tank to perform. From first hand experience.
A couple things to research:
-Cortisol
-Adrenal fatigue

I’ve ran my MR Pintler and Tenzing Day pack with this seat attached to the webbing on the bottom of the pack. Has worked well for me the past 10 years.
If I’m running a Fanny then I just take it off and strap it around my waist as well...
This year I have played around with my setup a bit to be more minimalistic and also more low profile/mobile. I have my MR pintler I carry with me but then also have a Cabela's hunting belt with several pouches so I can spot and stalk etc. I just drop the pintler and use the belt when needed...
I spoke to a biologist last week. They said it was the lowest population they’d seen in 30 years. It will be interesting to see what numbers look like after the winter and come March when discussions on tags begin within WGF.
I added a new rest and bowstring pre-season this year. Also, bought and had a bundle of arrows cut. Probably paid $100 or more for the labor all together. Wasn't concerned with the labor price as I don't have the technical skills or equipment currently to do it myself. I consider it the...
- I think you have individuals with high paying jobs/property in high cost of living cities (San Fran, DC, NYC, Silicon Valley etc..) that can work from home so they have decided to use geographical arbitrage into middle and lower cost of living cities. Quality of life decision.
